Inner West Street Association held over 40 events on the first block of West Street in 2022 alone with more events slated for 2023. IWSA events reach local, state, and national audiences, attracting thousands of people to the street.
Events
First Sunday Arts Festival Executed on the First Sunday of every month from May - November. IWSA initiated the First Sunday Arts Festival in 2001. Since then the festival now features up to 130 artists (vendors) per month and attracts visits from all over the State and beyond. This festival provides economic growth to businesses within West Street and Annapolis Arts and Entertainment District, together with promoting artists and artisans within the City, County, and State.
Dinner Under the Stars May - September Supporting businesses' within the first bock of West Street with al fresco dining. The promotion of this event subsequently promotes the businesses that participate in Dining Under the Stars and brings traffic to the Arts and Entertainment District.
Chocolate Binge Festival, December
The Chocolate Binge Festival supports and promotes vendors locally, nationally, and internationally. This event also supports businesses on West St and the Arts and Entertainment District. Due to the success of the Chocolate Binge Festival, this event attracts visitors from across the nation.
